About IBPS- AFO Examination

Pattern– IBPS-AFO EXAM

(As per notification of IBPS AFO 2019-20 at www.ibps.in)

IBPS-AFO Exam is an exam conducted by Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. It’s aim is selection of personnel as ‘Specialist Officers’ (Agriculture) posts in banks.

Selection procedure : 3 steps

  • Prelim exam - just qualifying nature (online computerized exam), Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)

  • Mains exam (Professional Knowledge ) – Selection nature (online computerized exam)

  • Interview - Selection nature Face to face at different location)

Negative marking (0.25 mark on every wrong answer)

Section in exam:

Note:

  • The above tests except the Test of English Language will be available bilingually, i.e. English and Hindi.

  • Prelim exam is only qualifying to mains exam. Its marks will NOT added in final selection.

  • Final selections is based on total marks scored in Mains (Professional Knowledge ) Exam and Interview and Interview with weightage of 80:20 ratio.

  • No General Knowledge section in IBPS AFO Prelim Exam.

Cut -off for IBPS AFO Exam (based on 2017):

  • General - 41.65

  • OBC - 40.90

  • SC - 34.65

  • ST - 30.00

  • HI - 26.50

  • OC - 27.20

  • VI - 28.95

Educational Qualification:

  • Four (4) years graduation degree in agriculture/ Horticulture/ Animal Husbandry/ Veterinary Science/ dairy Science/ Agricultural engineering/ Fishery Science/ Pisciculture/ Agri Marketing and cooperation/ Co-Operation and Banking/ Agro-Forestry

Age Limitations:

  • Min – 20 years and Max – 30 years

  • Age relaxation :SC/ST- 5 Yrs, OBC-3 Yrs, PWD-10 Yrs, J&K domicile-% Yrs

Expected Dates (based on 2018) :

  • Online Application date : November

  • Prelim Exam : December

  • Main Exam : January

  • Interview : February

  • Result : April

Application Fee(based on 2018) : :

  • Rs. 600/- for General and OBC

  • Rs. 100/- for SC/ST/PWD
